Honoring Black History Month, Charlotte’s Off-Broadway presents HEY YOU!! An Afrostereophonicjourney, an award-winning one-man show created and performed by actor/writer/director/producer, and voice talent Brian Daye. Show Dates are Friday, February 3 and Saturday, February 4 at 8 pm and Sunday, February 5 at 2 pm in COB’s Black Box Theater at the VAPA Center.

Creator Brian Daye states “A prior work-related incident became the foundation of this production. As I wrote it, the HEY YOU!! theme became a highly personal theatrical piece as I traced my background, upbringing, and life-experiences revealed in this one-man play.” It is Mr. Daye’s hope that HEY YOU!! provides impetus to people who are looking to make a positive change in their lives.

HEY YOU!! won “BEST PERFORMANCE” and “BEST PLAYWRIGHT” from the PEACH Theatre & Film International Festival in Los Angeles in 2022. Brian is also a 2022 Emerging Artists Fellowship Grant Recipient from the Arts and Science Council. HEY YOU!! was performed to sold-out audiences at the 2018 United Solo Theatre Festival in New York City and at The Warehouse Performing Arts Center in Cornelius, NC in 2020.
