All-Inclusive Programs at Carolinas Natural Health Center
by Martin MironCarolinas Natural Health Center is a holistic wellness center that specializes in helping people reclaim their health through effective, personalized lifestyle programs. They help those looking to overcome their diabetes, autoimmune disease, digestive disorders and more, or are looking to take their health to the next level.
Founder Dr. Michael Smith, a naturopathic physician, says, “I started Carolinas Natural Health Center in 2005 after moving to Charlotte from Phoenix, where I completed medical school and residency. I wanted to create a center that could help people get the health they want and deserve.”
Programs include nutritional coaching, educational classes, massage therapy, laboratory testing to help identify the true cause of an illness, Alpha-stim, a relaxation room, meditation training, Kangen water and whole food-based nutraceuticals and supplements.
Director of Operations Dee Sullivan oversees the practice to ensure excellent care and patient support. Krista Sigmon, a holistic health coach, two licensed massage therapists and a front office coordinator provide expert care.
“We are different in that we provide all-inclusive programs to help get people off the path of illness and put them onto a path of wellness, and provide the mentoring, education and support to help them be successful in making the lifestyle changes,” says Smith. “We ensure they have the tools necessary to maintain their good health for life!”
Carolinas Natural Health Center has helped hundreds of people reverse diabetes, get off their harmful medications, lose pounds for good and given them true hope. “We have been misled as a society thinking that we can rely on our insurance card to give us health, when the reality is that even though we still call it health insurance, it doesn’t pay for health. It will pay for more drugs and procedures, but not health,” notes Smith. “Insurance is truly designed for crises, and I hope to help people realize that their health is worth investing in. The ‘health’ care system has nothing to do with health.”
Smith advises, “I find that people spend a lot of time and money trying to address their health on their own, and end up frustrated when they don’t get results. We get to the true cause and cut through the confusion. We are really good at teaching people how to invest in their wellness.”
The center will hold free dinner seminars at 6:30 p.m. on May 1, 15 and 30 at several restaurants around Charlotte, but reservations are required.
Carolinas Natural Health Center is located at 1114 Sam Newell Rd., Ste. A, in Matthews, NC. For reservations, call 704-708-4404. For more information, visit CarolinasNaturalHealth.com.
