Natural Awakenings Charlotte

Special Intro Offer at Alternative Therapy Charlotte

To help spread awareness of how they can help release trapped emotions and trauma in the body’s tissues that can contribute to impaired function, Alternative Therapy Charlotte is offering Natural Awakenings readers 10 percent off of their appointments for initial evaluations throughout December and January. Myofascial Release (MFR) is deployed in many instances that addresses the root causes of problems—often trapped, unprocessed events from the past that have never been successfully dealt with—that causes the pain instead of masking symptoms.

“I work with the physical body and the energy body to bring the client back into harmony and alignment,” says owner Elizabeth Scarborough, trained in John Barnes Myofascial Release. “I bring a customized, holistic approach to the table to treat my client’s pain. All too often, people bounce from doctor to doctor or therapist to therapist seeking relief. In many cases they don’t get an answer as to what is ‘wrong’ with them and are left feeling frustrated and unheard. In many cases they are given pharmaceutical prescriptions to mask symptoms. Letting go of the past is freedom and freedom feels amazing.”

The release of fascial restrictions facilitates increased space in the body allowing for pinched nerves to no longer be pinched, tight muscles to no longer be tight, increased chi flow, improved skeletal and muscular alignment and improved sense of well-being.

“I left the traditional therapy setting to open a private practice that allowed me to focus on authentic healing utilizing alternative therapy for a more holistic approach. Helping people heal their pain and trauma and return to a pain-free, active lifestyle is my mission,” adds Scarborough, who has a master’s degree in Occupational Therapy and has practiced it in many settings including in-patient psychiatric, pediatrics, physical disabilities (spinal injuries, brain injuries and other acute situations), orthopedics, geriatrics, post-acute rehab and out-patient rehabilitation.
