The Process of Passing: Understanding Your Memorial Legacy

The House of Compassionate Gratitude, co-founded by John Wood, and Brennyn Molloy, will present a The Process of Passing: Understanding Your Memorial Legacy fundraiser for the Kent-Cook Institute at The Nook of Davidson, North Carolina, from 10 a.m. to noon on May 4 ($50 includes workbook). Attendees will learn the program that addresses defining for yourself and how you would like to be remembered including documenting important financial information that family members will need, completing any unfinished emotional business and outlining how you would choose to be memorialized.

Along with those in the later stages in life, the program can also benefit younger individuals as helping to define one’s legacy earlier aids in making more decisions that support that desired legacy.

They developed The Process of Passing program upon realizing they could apply their coaching techniques of spiritual concepts, reflecting and reframing of clients’ many life challenges to help clients see death as a natural part of life and be able to review and memorialize their unique legacies, understanding the part they have had in the lives of those closest to them, and then plan for the final days of life.

Molloy and Wood will also lead a Life Bridge Aid certification course at The Nook for those interested in conducting end-of-life care, June 21 to 23 ($600 includes workbook). Participants will be taught how to respond with reflection as the client confronts difficult end-of-life questions and concepts, allowing one to guide the client to their own conclusions.

Location: 400 N. Harbor Place, in Davidson. For more information or to register for either, call 802-353-5495 or email [email protected]. The Process of Passing Workbook is also available for purchase on Amazon.
