The Zen Within Academy will host their first retreat titled Awakening a New Reality from June 15 through 17 in Flat Rock, North Carolina. The event will be held at the Highland Lake Cove Retreat and Learning Center.

The experience will be organized in four areas of focus that’re essential for supporting the awakening process: Learn, Play, Heal and Recharge. Activities and teachings will include sound healing, stone and crystal medicine, instruction and teachings around transformative meditation techniques, yoga and intentional movement, breath work and EFT techniques, art and music therapy.

Katie Sutton and husband Josh Vogt, Retreat Guides, believe that spiritual awakening is a process that cannot be scheduled, but must be coaxed forward into being via carefully crafted experiences of high-vibrational medicine, and that specific neural pathways are created when we experience an awakening. Those first-hand experiences allow creation of a neural field that retreat- goers will be able to tap into, exploring consciousness awakening at their own pace.

Highland Lake Cove encompasses 58 acres including a small working farm, gardens, walking trails and a 30-acre lake for swimming and canoeing.
