Raising Consciousness to Resolve Personal Issues

The nonprofit Kent-Cook Institute at The Nook, in Davidson, North Carolina, provides a safe space in which to raise the consciousness of each individual. Founded by co-directors Heidi E. Kent and Marsha G. Cook in 2010, they have grown into a lakeside (Lake Norman) community center with meditation rooms, a healing center and classrooms. The Institute also provides scholarships to those in need.

Offerings include individualized metaphysical, healing, philosophical and meditation classes, as well as energy healing and private life counseling. “We have tutoring in the various metaphysical tools, bringing in the higher energies for communication and healing,” says Kent. “Our staff is composed of certified professional instructors, administrative staff and volunteers. Our integrity has held us in such good stead that we have very little competition. Our staff of instructors and healers are all certified professionals. Classes are our most important product.”

The Kent-Cook Institute provides tools to help people become empowered to live a more balanced, contented and motivated life. Services include interesting, enlightening and entertaining classes and workshops, plus an immersion method of tracing the origin of an issue back to its source to resolve issues of guilt, anxiety, fear or depression.

“We are developing several new programs to help in healing individuals and the community: Stress Busters, for anxiety, stress and fear; Getting Through Divorce; and Creating Successful Relationships, to name a few,” says Cook. “We’re continuing Changing Your Life with Your Breath; Mind Control and Shamanic Teachings.”

The NookSter Society, a Spiritual Fitness Membership, provides unlimited weekday and evening classes for only $39.95 per month.
