Natural Awakenings Charlotte

Experience Transformational Retreats at Dillsboro Inn

TJ Walker, innkeeper, eco-tourism and yoga instructor and Initiation coach, is hosting ongoing two- and three-day Retreat programs at Dillsboro Inn and Moonschool Yoga Resort on the Tuckasegee River. Participants will learn and experience stress-reduction techniques with yoga activation and enjoy ecotourism with alchemy and fun at the whitewater resort, where the Blue Ridge meets the Smoky Mountains.

It’s ideal for individuals, friends, corporate retreats and team building events to discover the benefits of being in the body, grounding into the natural world, developing emotional intelligence and letting go and rebirth. The Dillsboro Inn has a unique location in the mountains with a resort setting, studio and conference room.

Retreats are offered every Tuesday evening, Wednesday all-day program, half-day day program Thursday for nearby eco-tour opportunities like hiking, rafting and crafts; Thursday evening classes thru Friday mornings, every week throughout the summer, and every other week this fall and winter.

Walker, with a lifetime and schooling dedicated to environmental education, growth management and a 25-year carrier as a horticulturalist, has owned and operated the inn for 23 years, restoring and renovating it to a high-quality resort and destination 50 miles west of Asheville. He has 1,000-plus hours of classical yoga training and has taught yoga and shamanic practice for 15-plus years at the inn.
