Yoga and Meditation Retreat in Boone in August

Jeffrey Shoaf and Mary Powers, both 500-hour registered yoga therapists, will lead a special yoga and meditation retreat from August 24 through 26 at The Art of Living Retreat Center, in Boone, North Carolina. Thepristine mountain and spa setting will be ideal for persons whose lives are inundated with electronic overload and the increasing demands of a complicated and stressful lifestyle. Attendees will achieve long-lasting benefits and skills for stress-free living.

The event, including Friday night introductions, a full day of activities on Saturday and four hours on Sunday, willoffer effective stress reduction and practices that the attendees can use as tools for living more effectively by following easy-to-learn health and wellness techniques. Yoga teachers can earn 14 CEs through Yoga Alliance.

Shoaf is a yoga educator and teacher, certified through the Yoga Alliance, and a Certified Yoga Therapist through the International Association of Yoga Therapists and a Yoga Alliance-certified Education Provider. He trains yoga teachers for advanced certification through the Center for Integrative Yoga Studies. Powers is certified through the Kripalu Institute and teaches through the Insight Meditation Community of Charlotte. Both of them live and work in Charlotte and teach around the country.
