Counselor Sharon Hoyng, MS, LPC, PLLC, with 20-plus years of experience in the mental health field, is leading a stress management class on the first Saturday of each month from 1 to 2 p.m. in Gastonia, North Carolina. Informative materials are also provided.
Hoyng’s practice specializes in ways to deal with anxiety, trauma and PTSD, and offers individual counseling from ages 10 to 64. “We live in a very stressful society. Learning to manage stress is a simple but effective way to improve one’s physical and mental health,” says Hoyng, a 1997 graduate of Wright State University with a master’s degree in counseling and trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing for treating PTSD, trauma and abuse, Emotional Freedom Techniques and The Quick Pulse, a technique developed by Jo Dunning to clear unwanted physical and emotional issues, beliefs, past experiences or anything else one wants to change in their life.
“My goal is to improve your quality of life,” she adds. “What’s most important is what happens outside therapy. The best client is ready and willing to make that change.”
Cost for class: $40. Location: 1554 C Union Rd., Ste. 7. For more information or to register in advance (required), text or call 704-616-9600 or email [email protected].
