With Stay-At-Home directives extended until May 8 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the staged re-opening phases one through three, many may be staying at home into the summer. With the need for more at-home information, Natural Awakenings Charlotte is expanding the resources of its website.

*Plus, in honor of Earth Day, Natural Awakenings Charlotte, Claudia Josephine Design and Sustain Charlotte are sponsoring a Home Improvement contest for readers using repurposed products (at least 50% of the project needs to consist of repurposed products). Items that have been collected from second-hand and thrift stores, neighbors and from your own garage, basement or closets can be put to good use in completing a home project now. The majority of the project must be completed from the time of the Stay-At-Home order (March 26 is earliest issued in our area) to the submission deadline of August 1. Send name, home address and before-and-after photos to [email protected] with a description of the repurposed materials that made up at least 50% of the overall project and where those materials came from. Winners will be announced in the September edition.
Prizes include a Virtual Interior Paint Color Consultation valued at $225 complements of Claudia Josephine Design and two tickets to the 2020 Charlotte Sustainability Awards on September 9 valued at $210 complements of Sustain Charlotte. For more information, visit ClaudiaJosephineDesign.com and SustainCharlotte.org.
Open to all residents in Charlotte and the Greater Charlotte area, the deadline to submit photos is August 1.
