Home Improvement Contest Using Repurposed Materials - Entries To Date

Open loft is converted to a room using repurposed antique window, materials that were part of the loft and secondhand paint. Owners also borrowed tools and pickup truck from neighbors.

 

A flawed ceiling is covered with leftover hardwood flooring from home improvement projects from several past houses.

 

Stair risers, bare when old carpet was removed, are tiled with tiles leftover from previous home improvement projects along with street sign tiles and grout purchased from Habitat Restore.

 

Damaged kitchen cabinets are resurfaced with parquet flooring and subfloor glue purchased from Habitat Restore.

 

Home owner builds a decorative landscape border in their front yard with Bamboo and Crape Myrtle prunings from their backyard.
