Children’s Mentorship and Tutoring Program is Available in Charlotte/Greater Charlotte
Jarrin Wooten, owner of Living Roots Holistic Health, is offering a Children’s Mentorship and Tutoring Program from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Mondays through Fridays in mobile and virtual formats along with in person at a location in Concord, North Carolina. The curriculum, provided on a daily, weekly or monthly basis, emphasizes teaching early literacy and math skills, entrepreneurship, gardening, meditation and mindfulness, financial literacy, physical fitness, food and nutrition along with outdoor survival and socioemotional skills.
“This will help children of all ages develop essential real-world concepts that are rarely offered in traditional school settings,” says Wooten, who has a bachelor of arts degree in elementary education and a minor in psychology from Winston-Salem University.
He taught kindergarten and second- to fifth-grade students for seven years, has authored the books Skydive and Soul Notes, is a former high school basketball head coach and also played football at the collegiate level.
