Amanda Peckman, director of Kings Mountain Preserve, is hosting presentations about the environmental and economic benefits of green burials that includes lunch on the third Thursday of each month at Trio Restaurant, in Charlotte. The next session is July 17. This is an ideal opportunity to learn more about the preserve with small groups of likeminded individuals and enjoy lunch at the same time.

Kings Mountain Preserve is a 56-acre conservation burial ground that is 20 minutes from historic Kings Mountain State Park. As the area’s only green cemetery and the East Coast’s first combination conservation burial ground and funeral home, the facility boasts majestic hardwoods, dogwoods and Kings Creek which runs throughout the property. They are privileged to be partnered with the Upstate Forever Land Trust which protects our beautiful land and water by enforcing a Perpetual Conservation Easement, ensuring its use for future generations to enjoy.
