October is the final month to plant our fall gardens with plants as it’s generally too late for seeds, and the American Beauty Garden Center, in Charlotte, is ready to assist to help customers grow such cold-weather crops as broccoli, cauliflower, lettuces, collards and more. The business, which is open seven days a week, stocks organic plants and even garlic bulbs, along with organic soil amendments to prepare and fertilize soil through the growing season. 

“I personally plant Garlic Bulbs on Halloween each year (and harvest them in June),” says owner Alan Corder. “If an outdoor garden is not what you have in mind, we have a full selection of hydroponics and grow lights, plus we offer custom grow room design. And the seeds we offer are always organic and non-GMO, plus we have a great selection of heirloom seeds, too. We’re here to help make you a successful gardener!”
