Kings Mountain Preserve’s Free Lunch and Learn Expands to Belmont
To make learning about its features and services even more accessible, Kings Mountain Preserve is broadening its Free Lunch and Learn program. In addition to the event that takes place on the third Thursday of each month at Trio Restaurant, in Charlotte, the same meeting is now also being held every first Thursday at the Honeycomb Café, in Belmont, North Carolina.
Attendees at both lunch settings can learn about the environmental and economic benefits of green burials provided by the facility.
Kings Mountain Preserve, the region’s only conservation green cemetery, has 55 acres and three miles of hiking trails as well as outdoor facilities including a pavilion, outdoor chapel and cabin with a fire pit. Clients and families often remark at the peaceful and comfortable landscape and environment.
