Moon Wolf will launch its operations as a wellness center for movement, massage and meditation at 1912 Commonwealth Avenue in Charlotte this month with a series of separate major events on December 6 along with special offers for ongoing patronage. 

A free grand opening party from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. will feature local retail and service vendors including tarot and discounted tattoos; raffle tickets will be given with all purchases made, and winners will receive discounted packages of Moon Wolf massages, meditation sessions and classes (raffle winners announced at 3:45 p.m.). Food, coffee and mocktails from fellow small-business owners will also be available.

Moon Wolf’s co-owner and Yoga Director Grace Millsap will then host a ticketed ($22) special yoga flow session from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., followed by a one-hour donation-based dance party with local DJ Josh Paul. Proceeds will go towards Camino Salud to help those in Spanish-speaking communities that are experiencing food scarcity.

Also co-owned by Business Manager Christopher O’Donnell and Spa Director Catherine Warner, Moon Wolf will operate where Okra Charlotte and Gumbo Goods were previously based and will honor the history of the building with their services. 

They are offering a special Founding Member price of $99 per month for unlimited movement and mediation classes and 20 percent off massage and treatment services. 

Millsap also owns the Elemental Moon Yoga Teacher Training program, O’Donnell is also the owner of  Wise Wolf Wellness, an office space for holistic practitioners in Plaza Midwood, and Catherine Warner also owns Hold Space Healing, in Plaza Midwood. The trio has joined together to co-create a center for the community, run by teachers and practitioners, aiming to re-cultivate unity within the community; create a patronage that is knowledgeable and students that are healthy and committed to their wellness and longevity; and provide wellness options for all levels of wealth, health and knowledge.
