Many people lack dental insurance coverage. To help, Kempter Dentistry, with locations in Charlotte and Concord, now offers its KD VIP memberships. The program entirely covers two exams, two non-periodontal cleanings and one emergency exam per year; annual bitewing and other needed X-rays; oral cancer screenings; customized home care guidance; and a dental fitness scorecard.

Members also receive discounts for other services including CT scans, fillings, crowns, orthotics, ozone therapy and laser treatments. A treatment coordinator can customize a plan specifically for every family’s needs that includes flexible payment options. Those that join the KD VIP program during their new-patient visit receive 25 percent of their first-visit fee credited toward future out-of-pocket expenses (excluding annual membership fee).

The program cannot be combined with insurance or other dental plans; it excludes sedation products, specialist and hospital referrals.
