QC Femme Fest Returns to Charlotte
Mar 24, 2018 06:56PM
To celebrate and empower women, especially leading up to Mother’s Day, the QC Femme Fest will return from 5 to 10 p.m. on April 28 in Charlotte. Proceeds and products donated at the gathering of female business owners, artists, activists, entrepreneurs and other community members will go to Flo CLT to fund a scholarship and invest in an area woman in the future.
With Natural Awakenings Charlotte serving as media sponsor, organizers also feel the event is timely due to our political climate to bring awareness and grow the bonds between women and women-owned businesses, and to lift each other up through community.
The first QC Femme Fest in 2017 was a resounding success with vendors, attendees and the community uniting to support each other and raising funds and awareness for local charities that support women. This year’s edition will expand ways to learn about area resources that support women and continue to provide a vibe of inclusiveness. Enjoy food, drink, entertainment and vendors with handcrafted pieces, all benefiting a great cause.
Cost: $10 admission/$5 with bringing a box of feminine hygiene products to donate. Location: 1318 Central Ave., parking lot behind the Dog Salon. Tickets can be purchased in advance at Eventbrite.com. For more information, call Jessica Law at 517-404-9168, email [email protected] or visit QCFemmeFest.com.
