In February, Kempter Holistic Dentistry, in Concord and Charlotte, welcomed Shelli Boucher, DMD, to their dental team. Boucher earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry in 2009 and a D.M.D. in 2013, both from the University of Connecticut. According to practice owner, Dr. John Kempter, Boucher has been an outstanding addition to our team, as she firmly believes in the holistic approach to dental care. 

In 2016, Boucher started her journey of extensive advanced training at the Dawson Academy, a globally recognized, post-graduate education center. The hands-on coursework is based on the principal of mimicking nature’s beautiful design of a balanced, harmonious chewing system. Around the same time, her own personal health challenges led her on a journey to discover and fall in love with integrative/holistic medicine. She especially enjoys being in a holistic-oriented practice and the opportunity to spend time connecting and building relationships with patients.

Boucher’s personal passions include anything that allows her to be in nature (hiking, wake surfing, meditating in her Eno hammock), trying new foods and restaurants, and exploring the relationship between science and spirituality in the realm of inner transformation and physical healing.
