Hal Smith, co-owner of Okra Charlotte, will present a free workshop on how to perform a raindrop treatment from 5 to 6 p.m. on June 21. The method involves essential oils being applied to the skin in layers and blended using pressure point reflexive massage and feather stroking, a massage technique that uses light strokes.

Participants will learn how to perform a raindrop treatment for friends and family with essential oils that can provide toxin release, immune support, muscle and joint relaxation and other health benefits.

Smith, a multi-faceted healing professional with a diverse range of certifications, is a licensed massage and bodywork therapist and a licensed spiritual healer. Additionally, he is a 500-hour registered yoga teacher and holds certifications in Thai massage and bodywork, myofascial release and aromatherapy. He is also a certified CrossFit trainer among other qualifications.
