Purefico MedSpa & Therapy takes a holistic approach to health from the inside-out using products and services that are not harmful or toxic. Owner Melissa Lynch, a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a Master of Science degree in Nursing and a Master of Business Administration degree, founded the business as a result of her own health challenges. Their seven employees include an M.D., nurse practitioner, registered nurse, aesthetician and office manager.

Since opening Purefico, Lynch has continued to research advanced therapies and add them to her offerings when she feels their efficacy is proven. “ARP [Accelerated Recovery Performance] therapy is one example, and is highly effective for pain relief, recovery from surgery or injury, as well as improving endurance and strength.”

“Extracorporeal blood oxygenation and ozonation (EBOO) is the most advanced ozone therapy available today, and we are the first to offer it in the Charlotte area. We also have advanced knowledge on how to administer it. EBOO delivers 500 percent more ozone compared to the 10 Pass method, and for those new to ozone, this can be overwhelming to the body, so we don’t start with EBOO, but rather work up to it, so as not to make clients sick,” she advises.

 “EBOO assists the immune system and cleans and filters the blood. It is great for addressing chronic inflammation and pain, autoimmune disease, Lyme disease, chronic viruses and chronic fatigue, diabetes, stroke, hypertension, macular degeneration and more. We were the first in the Charlotte area to offer it, and for that reason, we have the most experience with it. 

All new clients start with a consultation. If the individual does not understand the cause of their health issues or they are healthy and wish to optimize their health, Purefico does a thorough interview to understand the medications and supplements currently taken, as well as a history of health issues/family health issues. The consult costs $100 plus other testing as needed. The fee may be applied to subsequent services. If clients understand their health issues, they offer consults with a level of additional testing. The most common are a hormone consult with bloodwork at $350; EBOO or ozone therapy consult with simple testing at $160; and weight loss with testing at $250. These fees primarily cover additional testing and therefore are not applied to subsequent services.

Bioidentical hormones personalized to the client and formulated by a compounding pharmacy is another popular treatment Purefico has offered for years. Other services include ozone therapy (including EBOO), chelation therapy for heavy metal removal and other issues, detoxification, sexual health issues, regenerative medicine, gut issues, testing for and treating mold, customized IV therapies to deliver needed nutrients, weight loss, injury recovery, athletic performance, total body wellness and aesthetics.

Lynch notes, “From the data we’ve collected from the client and additional tests (if applicable), we put together a treatment plan. If the client chooses to move forward with us, we track the results of treatment and continue to refine the treatment plan based on results. This is how we help our clients feel great and thrive.”

She explains, “In my 20s, I was very sick and traveled across the country from doctor to doctor for help. This experience introduced me to cutting-edge therapies that got great results, such as ozone therapy, IV chelation, high-dose vitamin IVs, peptide therapy and growth hormones, just to name a few.” Lynch sees her greatest business accomplishments as truly seeing life changes in others, sharing, “Passion, I believe, is number one; believing in what we do. Our goal is to help people feel great and thrive,” and plans to do an open house this summer.
