Dr. Michael Master is a Carrick-trained clinician with over 25 years of clinical experience. He is a board-certified chiropractic neurologist and fellowship-trained functional neurologist with child neurodevelopment credentials. Due to his unique qualifications, he attends a diverse patient population of infants, children, teens, and adults with various complex health conditions.
Clinical management is entirely holistic without the use of drugs or surgery. Master provides integrative-based care that is high-quality, compassionate, and patient-centered. Like a medical neurologist, a chiropractic neurologist or functional neurologist specifically evaluates and treats the nervous system; comprising the brain, brainstem, spinal cord and nerves. However, chiropractic neurologists use novel methods of treatment to enhance or optimize neurological function.
The nervous system is called “the master system” because it controls every system, organ, tissue, and cell in the body. A chiropractic neurologist’s (functional neurologist) job is to carefully evaluate and diagnose how well the nervous system is working and how it supports the body’s ability to stay functionally healthy and balanced (homeostasis). When problems are found, the functional neurologist creates a personalized, non-invasive treatment plan that encourages the brain and nerves to rewire and heal, which is known as neuroplasticity.
